This is a so-called "standardised serum".
Proliferation, among other things, is pre-tested on various cell lines. Three deviations in the number of cells, proliferation time, plating efficiency and cloning efficiency may deviate by 10%. In this way, you test this product once and can assume that, due to the marginal deviation, the next lot will work just as well. All equivalent batches are characterised by a very low endotoxin content.
