Human serum AB male - guaranteed free of anti-A and anti-B antibodies.
This human serum contains only plasma from donors with blood group AB and is therefore free of anti-A and anti-B antibodies. This serum is especially recommended for immunological and haematopoietic studies.
Advantages of the human serum:
Consistent quality
High safety
No interfering animal components
Filtered human serum for cell culture
The human serum from Bio&SELL comes exclusively from healthy blood donors from certified donation institutes in Europe. Every single batch is checked, documented and tested for viral infections. This provides our customers with maximum safety and transparency. Bio&SELL offers both pooled and serum from single donors.
Product descriptions of the human blood sera:
Off-the-clot serum - without anticoagulants, naturally clotted.
Obtained from human whole blood collected without anticoagulants. Coagulation occurs naturally at room temperature. The blood cake is then removed and the serum purified by depth and membrane filters. Available pooled or from single donors (for metabolic studies).
Human serum RG-F (rich in growth factors) - contains many growth factors.
Contains more human growth factors than off-the-clot serum and is therefore recommended for tissue engineering and cell differentiation studies.
Human serum - filtered human serum.
Calcium chloride is added to human plasma for coagulation. Cellular and solid components are removed by centrifugation. The serum is then washed, concentrated and finally filtered.
Human serum AB male - guaranteed to contain no anti-A and anti-B antibodies.
This serum contains only plasma from donors with blood group AB and is therefore free of anti-A and anti-B antibodies. This serum is especially recommended for immunological and haematopoietic studies.
FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the human serum:
What is the composition of the Human Serum?
Human serum contains all components of blood plasma (except clotting factors) such as: Proteins, Electrolytes, Hormones and Nutrients.
What are the advantages of Human Serum over FBS?
No disturbing animal components
Human cells find the most natural conditions possible even in in vitro cell culture
What is human serum (definition)?
Human serum is obtained from human blood plasma. Blood serum is the watery part of the plasma that does not clot or remains as a yellowish liquid after blood coagulation.
In which areas is human serum used?
Cell therapy, immunotherapy research, tissue engineering, etc.
In which concentration should human serum be used?
We recommend a concentration between 5% and 20% for our human serums within the cell culture.
How does the adaptation of the cells to the human serum take place?
We recommend a stepwise adaptation. Cultivate the cells within the first 4-6 days with a 10% mixture of FBS and human serum (5% human serum and 5% FBS). Subsequently, you can cultivate the cells with 5-20% human serum.
FAQ - Häufige Fragen zum humanen Serum
1. Wie ist die Zusammensetzung des humanen Serums
Humanes Serum enthält alle Bestandteile des Blutplasmas (außer den Gerinnungsfaktoren): Proteine, Elektrolyte, Hormone und Nährstoffe.
3. Was ist Human Serum (Definition)?
