Freeze Protect III - Serum-free, Protein-free, DMSO-free, 500 ml

The chemically defined (serum-free, protein-free, and DMSO-free) Freeze Protect III freezing medium is optimized for freezing animal and human cells (adherent and suspension cells). Freeze Protect III is a chemically defined and optimized mixture of salts, sugars, and other antifreeze agents. It contains no human or animal components and is particularly recommended for cells from serum-free cultures. Freeze Protect III does not contain DMSO. The DMSO-free formulation is particularly suitable for primary cells and other applications where DMSO is undesirable (due to its cytotoxic side effects). Freeze Protect III has also been tested positively for the preservation of tissue samples, e.g., umbilical cord tissue.
