Basal medium for serum-free culture of neuronal cells - Neuronal Cell Culture Medium

Bio&SELL's Neuro-BS Basal Medium can be used to culture hippocampus, cortex and many other cells of the central nervous system.
The composition of Bio&SELL's Neuro-BS Basal Medium largely corresponds to that of Neurobasal™ media from other manufacturers:

    With L-glutamine
    Without glutamate
    With 2.2 g/L NaHCO3

 

It is suitable for short as well as longer cell cultures of neurons without the need for a feeder layer of astrocytes. The medium does not contain glutamate. This should be added during the initial culture.
The Neuro-BS Basal Medium should be supplemented with serum or (in the case of serum-free culture) with Bio&SELL supplements before use:

    Neuro-BS Basal Medium Supplement NBS-27 50x conc.
    Neuro-BS Basal-Medium Supplement NBS-N2 100x conc.
