Food DNA Extraction Kit

Kit for rapid (approx. 30 min after cell lysis) and efficient purification of genomic DNA from fresh or processed food or other animal/plant products. The kit contains centrifugation columns, buffers and all reagents required for cell lysis, DNA binding, washing steps and elution of DNA in the smallest possible volume. The kit includes a detailed application protocol for the extraction of DNA from whole blood, cells and food. Includes protocol for enrichment culture of contaminating bacteria for their DNA isolation.

For species identification or determination of bacterial DNA (pathogen diagnostics).

 
Column based extraction of DNA from:

    Blood, fresh or frozen samples, with or without anti-coagulants (EDTA, heparin, citrate).
    Plasma
    Body fluids
    Up to 107 cells (suspension culture or adherent grown)
    Milk, milk products, cheese
    Sausages, salami, meat

 

The qualitatively very high-quality genomic DNA purified in this way can then be used immediately for all subsequent applications (PCR, hybridisation, restriction analyses, cloning, etc.).
