DNase I Column Digestion Kit

The DNase I column digestion kit efficiently removes DNA. This kit is used when contaminating DNA is to be reliably eliminated during RNA preparations. The digestion takes place directly on the silica centrifugation column during purification. The DNase I is reliably removed from the column by subsequent washing steps. Subsequently, the RNA can be extracted as usual.
The DNase I contained in the kit is an endonuclease that splits single- and double-stranded DNA into mono- and oligo-nucleotides. The RNA remains intact in the process.
Application:

    Supplement to the RNA Mini Kit
    For all downstream applications (e.g. cDNA banks) where the RNA must be very pure and without DNA contamination.
    The DNase I column digestion kit is optimised for Bio&SELL RNA kits. However, it also works with kits from other suppliers. Check the respective protocol beforehand.

With only 20 min more time the DNA is completely removed during the RNA isolation. This step is done after lysis instead of a wash step.
