BioColl (densité 1,100 g/ml, isotonique)

Les solutions de séparation BioColl® contiennent du polysucrose, un polymère d'un poids moléculaire d'environ 400.000 daltons. Ce polymère hydrophile permet de préparer des solutions aqueuses d'une densité d'environ 1,2 g/ml. Selon la fraction visée, on choisit la densité appropriée de la solution BioColl (voir liste). Pour obtenir des valeurs optimales de pH et d'osmolalité, BioColl® doit être mélangé avec un acide, de préférence l'acide amidotrizoïque (ATS), et de la soude caustique.
