McCoy's 5A Medium is a modification of Basal Medium Eagle (BME) with altered amino acids and was originally developed for the proliferation of liver tumor cells. It is also suitable for the cultivation of primary cells, a wide range of established mammalian cell lines, and for the production of viruses in primary cell cultures.
